CONGRATULATIONS: Kendra; Double placing with a 5th place finishing in Novice Figure Model short and 4th place in Novice Fitness Model Medium at the IDFA, October 2011.

Stressed over the weight I continued to carry from the pregnancy of my second child and the unfit image I presented to my fitness class participants, I returned to Weight Watchers to lose my pregnancy weight. I achieved great results, but desired to achieve more than just losing weight - I also wanted to build muscle and represent the image of a personal trainer.

Three months following the birth of my second child, I was introduced to Lisa. She was introduced as the amazing person who coached a friend of mine to a placing 2nd in her first fitness competition. Inspired by my friend's success, I requested to be a member of Lisa's Facebook group and began discussions with Lisa regarding my fitness goals and desires. I stressed the importance of maintaining a healthy supply for breast milk to nurse my baby and my fears that any hard program or strict diet might hinder my ability produced milk for my young baby. Lisa suggested that I start with a 12 week healthy eating and cardio program and encouraged me to continue working the rest of my muscle groups once a week on my own program. For 12-weeks Lisa would provide me with the coaching I needed to help me achieve the results I was looking for.

Six weeks into the program, I had lost 10lbs and 13 inches! Lisa realized my potential and asked me to consider competing in the upcoming IDFA fitness competition. While I had previously entertained the idea of competing in a fitness competition, in my mind it was not possibility as I just had my baby. The competition was only three months away and my body did not look anything like those I had seen on other competitors - I was doubtful to say the least! Lisa assured me that with her guidance and my motivation and drive, my body would be competition ready. I agreed to the challenge and transitioned to Lisa's competition program the following week.

I trained hard and ate clean, indulged in reward nights, questioned my competition readiness both physically and mentally, all while building an amazing new friendship with Lisa in fitness and in life.

October 22, 2011, seven months after the birth of my second baby (via caesarean section), I satisfied a dream - I competed in my first official fitness competition. I took home two medals (my first medals ever)! I placed 4th (tied for 3rd) in Novice Fitness Model medium, and 5th in Figure Model Short. Without Lisa's guidance, positive encouragement, and friendship my most accomplished moment would have remained a dream - instead it is a reality! Thank you Lisa
