CONGRATULATIONS: Kaitlyn on competing in the NPAA and continuing to transform your fitness body.

My weight has always fluctuated, especially through high school. I was a competitive dancer for almost 13 years; I played rugby and was always out being active. After graduating high school, I stopped dancing and didn't really do any kind of physical activity and I started noticing the weight gain. I was never overly concerned about it but I knew I wasn't in the best shape I could be.

A little over a year ago, my mom had found a trainer she wanted to start with and she had asked me if I was interested. I was kind of hesitant as I didn't really think I needed a trainer – little did I know I did! My mom and I started working with Lisa in May 2014 and we fell in love with her instantly. We started out just wanting to lose weight and do it in the healthiest way possible. Lisa set us up with an amazing meal and workout plan and within a few weeks we were already noticing changes.

One morning when my mom and I were training with Lisa, my mom noticed one of the Fitness competition posters hanging on the wall. She looked at me and said "Kaitlyn, you could do this." I kind of just laughed it off and said "Yeah right, not in a million years." Lisa agreed I could compete if I wanted too.

Next thing I knew, I found myself looking into the competitions and finding myself considering the possibility. Within a few weeks and a few emails back and forth with Lisa, I found myself preparing to compete in November 2014 and I stepped on that stage feeling amazing and it was all thanks to Lisa. Within this year I've competed in two fitness competitions and I've started prepping for my third. Lisa got me hooked on the life style and the changes I was seeing.

Lisa is the best at what she does. She's motivational on a daily basis and connects with each and every one of her clients in different ways. I not only gained a trainer but I gained a fitness mom. Being 22, I still have a lot to learn and I'm still growing up and maturing constantly and Lisa has become an amazing role model and teacher for me. She understands the obstacles that people can face and will support you no matter what and in every endeavour you decide to take. Lisa has given me the opportunity to love myself in every single way. I love my off season body as much as I love my stage body. She's taught me that the scale is just a number and fluctuating isn't a bad thing. Your body is a marvellous thing when you supply it with the right proteins, carbohydrates and vegetables. Lisa has taught me to accept the things I can't change and never give up on the things I want.

I couldn't imagine the last year without her and I couldn't even imagine what I would do with her. I'm so lucky that my mom and I found her when we did. She's taught us a lot about our relationship and helped us grow and become stronger support systems for each other. We'd be a wreck without her.

I'd recommend Lisa to everyone and anyone. She's the kindest hearted and most genuine person I know.
